TITAN

TITANS is a vocal performance by YouYou Group (Brussels) and Glossa (Cologne), created with 40 performers for the opening of KANAL–Centre Pompidou in Brussels (November 2026), and directed by Elisa Kühnl, Doreen Kutzke and Myriam Van Imschoot.

Because of my background in theatre, performance and audiovisual creation, the directors invited me to join the creation process as an artistic collaborator. Throughout the process I took part in concept meetings with the artistic team on the visual language of the piece, and in feedback sessions with the makers to evaluate and adjust the performance.

Phase 1 – Creation lab at Buda, Kortrijk (February 2026)

• Participation in the creation lab, getting to know the material and atmosphere of the performance during rehearsals.

• Sound recording of the rehearsals, as material for the creation process.

• Photography of the public try-out on 20 February 2026, which simulated the conditions of the final venue. I photographed the performance from multiple viewpoints in the building (overhead from the balcony, at audience level, through glass and along the corridors), so the directors could see how the piece reads from different perspectives. The artistic team used these images as visual research material to develop the performers’ movements, spatial positioning and mise-en-scène.
